Heavenly Father,
I come before You in this moment, acknowledging my need for Your strength. It is in this very place that I turn to You, the source of all light and the foundation of all courage.
Lord, breathe Your hope into my spirit. Anchor my soul in the unchanging truth of Your promises. When my vision is limited to the shadows around me, remind me of Your eternal light. Let the hope of Your salvation be the helmet that guards my mind, and the certainty of Your faithfulness be the steady ground beneath my feet. “Now the God of hope fill [me] with all joy and peace in believing, that [I] may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost” (Romans 15:13).
Father, fortify my heart with Your courage. Your Word says You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). I claim that truth now. Replace any trembling with Your mighty power. Replace any anxiety with Your perfect love that casts out fear. Replace any confusion with the clarity that comes from trusting in You. Make me strong and courageous, for You, Lord my God, are with me wherever I go (Joshua 1:9).
Help me to fix my eyes not on the storm, but on You, the Author and Perfecter of my faith. Let me remember how You have been faithful in the past, and let that memory become the fuel for hope in my future. When I am weak, be my strength. When I am lost, be my compass. When I am afraid, be my shield.
