Prayer for Protection and Safety
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Heavenly Father, Almighty God,
My Refuge and my Fortress,
I come before You now, consciously placing myself, my loved ones, and all that concerns me under the shadow of Your wings. You are my hiding place and my shield; my hope is in Your word (Psalm 119:114).
Lord, I pray for Your divine protection. Surround me with Your angels; post Your heavenly guard over my home, my path, and my comings and goings. Be a wall of fire around all who belong to You (Zechariah 2:5). Preserve us from all harm—seen and unseen. Guard our bodies from accident and illness, our minds from anxiety and deceit, and our spirits from discouragement and attack.
I pray for Your covering and safety in a world of uncertainty. As we step out today, be our ever-present guide. “Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe” (Psalm 119:117). Keep our feet from stumbling, our eyes from danger, and lead us in paths of peace. For those who travel, be their sure companion. For those in difficult or dangerous situations, be their mighty deliverer.
I declare Your promise over this day: “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler” (Psalm 91:4). You are our safe dwelling place. No weapon formed against us shall prosper, for this is our heritage as servants of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).
I also pray for a heart that trusts. When fear arises, remind me that You are near. Help me to take every anxious thought captive and to rest in the certainty of Your watchful care. Let my trust in You be my strength and my song.
I commit all those I love into Your faithful hands. Watch over my family, my friends, and all for whom my heart cares. Extend Your hand of safety over them.
Thank You, Father, that I do not face this day alone or unprotected. You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
I pray all these things in the powerful, protecting, and precious name of Your Son, my Savior, Jesus Christ.
